"After much research on local florists in the area, I decided to have my flowers shipped to Italy. I found The Sleeping Flower Company based in Durham and they did an amazing job at matching the style of flowers that I wanted. I was quite particular about the details, not to mention changed my mind a few times, but Julie was so good at understanding my vision. She makes her bouquets and arrangements with silk and dried flowers and foliage. Admittedly, I was a little apprehensive that they could look ‘fake’, but when I saw them I was absolutely blown away at how beautiful and realistic they looked. And the great thing is that I can now keep my wedding flowers forever!"

Wow wow wow. I cannot speak highly enough about Julie and her beautiful work. I sent a custom Lulu request and Julie had my crown with with me in a couple of weeks. Even better than that was her response to my initial uncertainty about the colours of one of the flowers. It wasn't what I envisioned when I first tried it on and Julie was SO understanding, however, once I tried the crown on with my dress and everything else I realised it needed no amends because it was absolutely perfect. It also didn't need pinning and stayed on my head all day and all through the night, which a real one would not have done. It's my favourite part of my wedding outfit and I will treasure it for years! Thank you Julie!

I honestly cannot recommend Julie and the Sleeping Flower Company enough - anyone planning a wedding or event and wanting beautiful flowers that will last way beyond the day, take a look at some of the pictures of their work on the website, Facebook and Etsy....the pictures are very true to what you get - there’s no nasty surprises!
She did an absolutely amazing job on our bouquets, corsages and buttonholes for our wedding in February... (not the best time of year to get a big range of fresh flowers!)
The combination of dry and fabric flowers works so well and she puts together some absolutely beautiful combinations of colours and textures, I had so many compliments about the flowers on the day. I’m so glad I chose to use Sleeping Flowers, and even better - I have them to keep for years to come as a lovely reminder of our day.
My only regret is that I didn’t get more to put in the venue (and my house afterwards :) )
I was consulted from the start on what styles and colour I was looking for and Julie kept in touch throughout- sending pictures to check she was making what we’d hoped for. She got it spot on straight away! But it was so reassuring to have great communication throughout.

Absolutely loved my boutonnière. It was a life saver.
I bought some from another seller on Etsy - ten for my eight groomsmen and one for myself. Unfortunately the one for me was overshadowed by my groomsmen’s. Then I discovered Julie and her shop and was blown away by the products she had. I saw this product and was confident it would look great. Beyond the actual product though...
